Year 6 have been working on an exciting project: creating their own World War Two gardens inside a shoebox. The children have shown incredible creativity and effort, using a range of materials to design miniature vegetable plots, Anderson shelters, and even tiny tools and signs. Each project reflects a brilliant understanding of how people grew their own food during the war, and the results have been truly impressive. The level of detail, imagination, and hard work has made every shoebox garden unique. Well done!
Wow! What an incredible time we had on Healthy Me Day! The children have bounced, run, cycled, and line danced their way toward our 26-mile target with incredible enthusiasm and energy.
We also enjoyed the delicious smoothies that we worked hard to earn by cycling - a refreshing reward for our efforts!
A heartfelt thank you to our whole school community for your fantastic support with fundraising and sponsorship. In total, we raised an astronomical amount — over £6,000!
A special thank you to Mrs Moore and Robyn for all their hard work and brilliant organisation. This day wouldn't have been the success it was without their dedication and effort.
Year 6 had a brilliant day when visited by a World War II expert. Jack put us through our paces sending and receiving messages in morse code, reenacting life as a soldier and replicating the disaster of Dunkirk. We all had a fantastic day. It was wonderful to see so many children dressed up. They really embraced the opportunity and we all learnt lots!
