We attended Young Voices at Resorts World Birmingham on Tuesday 10th January. We spent the Autumn term learning and rehearsing ten songs to perform. We performed as part of a mass choir with over 6000 other children! We had a fabulous time and loved every minute of being performers.
As part of a homework project, children researched an area of interest to do with the History and Geography of Italy. These are some of their creations.
We were very excited when a Roman soldier came to visit us! He talked about the history of the Romans in Britain and how Britain evolved during their reign. We played Roman games. In the afternoon, we found out about Roman warfare and re-enacted our own battle.
As part of our work on Black History Month, we found out about Marcus Rashford and his wonderful charity work. We then made thank you cards and sent them to him at Old Trafford. We were very excited to receive back our own thank you note from Marcus, along with a signed photograph.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our topics so far this term. In Geography we have found out about Naples and Campania. In History we have been learning about the Romans.
