We’ve had a fantastic start to the Autumn Term, settling into our new environment and really making it our own. Together, we created our Class Charter, painted beautiful pictures for our displays, and enjoyed exploring every part of our new classroom space.
In English, we’ve loved diving into the story of Oliver Twist and learning all about the life and times of Charles Dickens. In Maths, we’ve focused on Place Value, Addition, and Subtraction, using a range of resources to help us understand and apply our learning in different ways.
Our teachers are incredibly proud of how much independence and resilience we’ve shown as the half term has gone on. What a brilliant start to the year!
Autumn 2 Highlights
Wow! What a busy Autumn Term 2 we have had.
The children have been learning about 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' in English and have written some fantastic descriptive pieces of writing and have completed lots of comprehension style questions and activities. In Maths, the children have worked incredibly hard in learning their times tables. We will continue to practice as we enter Spring Term. In PE, the children have learnt new skills, including passing and throwing and working as a team.
The children have continued to develop their independence skills and resilience this half term.
We cannot wait to see what Spring Term brings!
Have a lovely, restful Christmas break!
