A Pupil Leadership role at Milking Bank Primary School is an excellent learning experience and a fantastic opportunity for children to excel, take responsibility and gain knowledge and skills that will benefit them immensely. Junior Leaders work closely with our Head pupils, the teachers and the Governors to make our school an even greater place to be!
Our Pupil Leaders play an important role - they provide a meaningful way for pupils to voice their thoughts and opinions about our school. It means they can have their views listened to and be involved in important decisions which impact upon them. This in turn builds their character.
Head Pupils have an important role to play in the daily life of Milking Bank Primary School. They undergo an application process that includes a letter of application, shortlisting and an interview/presentation. Successful candidates are then offered a Head Pupil role for the year. Pupils are made aware of the responsibility that accompanies this role and the high standards of behaviour that all Pupil Leaders must adhere to and promote across the school.
Through providing our pupils with various 'Roles and Responsibilities' across school, we develop our pupils to be responsible, respectful, and active citizens who are able to play their part and become actively involved in public life as adults.
