Nursery and Reception follow the Developmental Matters Guidance to support children's development throughout EYFS. It helps us to design an effective early years curriculum, build on the strengths of the children and helps us to meet the needs of all the children in our setting.
The curriculum consists of everything we want children to experience, learn and be able to do by the end of Reception. We then use the Early Learning Goals at the end of Reception to provide parents and carers, and teachers with a well rounded picture of each child’s knowledge, understanding and abilities. It also shows their attainment against expected levels, and their readiness for year 1.
