We had a super day learning all about how to stay safe on our bikes!
Andy Goldsworthy Inspired Art
For part of our Device Free Day, we looked at the artist Andy Goldsworthy. We found out that his artwork collaborates with nature and that he creates a focal point in the middle and expands from it. After we planned our own inspired artwork, we went outside to create them. Have a look at our super work!
Take a Walk in our Shoes project
To help understand Children's Mental Health Week and Device Free Day, we have created our own shoes that express ourselves. We used various mediums to design and create our shoes; we could be as imaginative as we wanted!
We had a fantastic Roman Day making our own shields, coins, purses and mosaics!
Edible Roman Road
To help with our instruction writing, we created our own edible Roman Roads so we could understand the different steps and layers needed. We had lots of fun and enjoyed eating them too!
Pizza Making Day
To link with our Italy and Romans topic, we had a Pizza Making Experience Day. We made our very own pizzas through following instructions carefully. We had lots of fun kneading and rolling out our dough before adding our own toppings. The best part was being able to eat them at lunch! We also found out how many miles our ingredients for our pizzas do to reach our plate. We were amazed at the total distance!
To celebrate Bonfire Night, we created some firework poems. We tried to include lots of alliteration, simile, metaphors and onomatopoeias.
