On Friday 13th November, our school celebrated and raised money for the charity Children In Need. Both the children and teachers came to school wearing brightly coloured clothes to mirror the charity focus of rainbow colours. During the day the children took part in the live broadcast of Joe Wicks' epic 24 hour fitness challenge. We willed him over the finish line by taking part in the end of his fitness session in our classrooms. The children's brightly coloured clothes help to lift everyone's spirits and make the day fun.

National School Sports Week 2020
From Saturday 20th June to Friday 26th June the school will be involved in this national school sports scheme run by the Youth Sports Trust and supported by Sky this year. We will be providing the children in school with a variety of socially distanced sports activities and challenges to improve their resilience, confidence, wellbeing and fitness throughout the week.
Year Six will be taking part in outdoor adventure activities and enjoying their time in school as they would have been going on their residential trip to Plas Gywnant this week.
What if you are not in school this week? Don’t worry you can still celebrate this week of sport at home or at the park. There are so many possible socially distanced activities that you could do such as: running, riding a bike, playing cricket, playing golf, playing other ball sports with members of your own family, skipping, playing basketball, yoga, dance and many more. Just get off the couch and have fun getting active together!
We have provided a few ‘at home fitness challenges’ and website links for activities to try on top of the many possible sports you could do, not just this week but in the future too. We hope you have a brilliant week enjoying sports and being active.
