English:

This week we are continuing to focus on the traditional story of ‘Hansel and Gretel’. We shall continue to use descriptive language to write sentences about the witch and the setting.

Monday Lesson 1 Grammar Focus: Adjectives

We would like you to complete the Adjective Cut and Stick worksheet. You will find this attached on the website

Tuesday Lesson 2   Hansel and Gretel

Watch the Hansel and Gretel story link again. Use the describing words collected last week to write 3 magic sentences about the witch. Challenge: can you use ‘and’ in each sentence.

Remember a magic sentence needs a capital letter, a full stop or exclamation mark, finger spaces and kinetic letters handwriting.

Wednesday Lesson 3 Hansel and Gretel

Have a look at the pictures of the setting. What can you see? Make a list words and phrases to describe the setting eg. twisting path, dark woods, stinging plants.

Thursday Lesson 4  Hansel and Gretel

Use the list you made yesterday to write 3 magic sentences describing the setting. Challenge yourself again to try and use ‘and’ in your sentences.

Friday Lesson 5  Grammar Focus: Plurals adding suffix es.
