To help with our instruction writing in English on how to make a Roman Road, we followed a set of instructions to make an edible road. This was to help us understand the different layers needed and the equipment the Romans used. Maltesers represented large rocks, a custard cream represented the paving stones and custard represented the cement. It got a little messy while constructing our roads but we all enjoyed eating them afterwards. We produced some fantastic pieces of writing!
